Named
after "Jan Knooren", the bass maker and repairer from Holland.
Though Jan is more famed for his bass guitars than his double basses, I
was very happy to be able to name these machines after him. They are a
very fine example of the classic English design. These are machines that
look and work very well, suiting any style of bass. They come with a screw
and washer, which again must be used to hold the cog in place. The very
low gearing makes for fine tuning. Classic machines for classic
instruments.
