MK-3 "Jansen"
The
"Jansen" machine was again designed around twenty years ago by
Gallery Strings, but un-like the first two machines this one must use the
screws and washers provided to hold the cog in place. The gothic design
really suits very fine instruments and gives a very grand appearance. It
has been used by many of the Worlds great bass makers, and we have never
had any complaints about the design or fitting. In fact we have never had
any complaints at all. This wonderful machine is named after the fine
Dutch maker "Harry Jansen", my very good friend. Though the cog
is a very obvious English design, it again, like the two earlier machines
is very low geared for fine tuning.
